Fantastic Picture--Great…

Bought this LG 65QNED90 MiniLED 65-inch TV for our family room, the busiest room in our home for TV-viewing. There were two minor disappointments, but overall we are ecstatic with the TV, and the picture and functionality are better than any other TV we’ve owned.
First the slight negatives: Understand this is a large TV, but the legs are about 42 inches apart, and cannot be moved inward. Our stand is only 36 inches wide, so we could not set the TV on our current stand. The second issue is that the sound output seems average at best. Not a big deal for us because we’ll use along with a sound bar system, but if you do not plan to use a separate soundbar, the sound is no better than other TVs.
Appearance: Very sleek and minimalist looking—love the way it looks in our family room. The bezel frame around the edges is very slim, and the legs also look nice and sturdy. Legs also allow you to hide some cabling so it doesn’t look as cluttered.
Picture: This is what sets this TV apart from others. The 4K picture is absolutely stunning. Not sure I understand all the technological innovation, like Quantum Dot, NanoCell, and MiniLED. But I can translate all those features: The picture is the brightest of any TV we’ve seen, and the colors are brilliant. And the black on this TV is so dark, that it really changes how stunning the picture is. In comparing to our prior TV, there is absolutely no comparison. Our prior TV’s black looks almost gray compared to the black on this TV. So nice! Some of the bells and whistles also make viewing even better. For example, Dolby Vision IQ and Filmmaker Mode are nice.
Remote Control and Home Screen: To be honest, hated the remote when I first started using it. Really wanted to go back to a simpler, less complex remote. But after using it for a while, it kind of grew on me, and now I appreciate how powerful and functional it is. Same with the home screen and navigation. Once I used it for a while, the Home Screen and navigation became very intuitive, and have even started using the voice control which works well.
Overall: Fantastic TV, especially if you’re looking for a stunning and brilliant viewing experience. The sound is average, but just get a sound bar or surround system. If you’re ok with upgrading the sound, you’ll be very happy!
NOTE: I was able to purchase this product at a discount, in exchange for my honest review of the product.
